Nipple - The first (of many) Nipple piercings!

What a great piercing!
Yeah the nipple piercing is one of the best piercings that I have had, real intense but worth it! I plan to have the other one done and then have vertical barbells fitted behind the bcr’s (very deep). Why not check out the image of this piercing here? Lets deal with the most obvious question first.

Does it hurt?
Well unfortunately most people believe that it’s excruciating, and won’t have it done for that reason. Not true, like most piercings you feel it, but that said I’ve experienced far more painful things! Let me put that into perspective, I’d rather have any part of my body pierced (and I do mean any part) than receive a kick in the bollocks!

Lets deal with the actual process now, once in the room you are asked to remove your top/shirt and the piercer will mark the nipple and check all is well with the placing, they will show you and ask if the positioning suits you. (sir:)

Preparation
The next stage will involve getting all the equipment ready, you know; the drill, pliers and lump hammer, nipples are quite hard you know:-) seriously though you will be shown a brand spankin’ new needle (or rather the box that contains the needle, don’t worry you don’t have to look at the actual needle) if not then R.L.F (ye olde English for ‘Run Like Fuck!’).

Next out the piercing paraphernalia repository should be our old friend Mr. (or being P.C.) Ms clamp, this should be bagged sterile. There will also be the jewellery normally a ball closure ring (BCR) initially, now the old heart speeds right up, try to relax the whole thing goes down much easier if your relaxed. At this stage you may see some K.Y. or similar, DON’T WORRY, it’s just to lube the BCR. :-) Now I’m afraid this part won’t be very detailed, as I didn’t have any anaesthetic (cos I’m really macho and tough:).

Why not?
Well the nipple wasn’t my first piercing neither will it be my last and the piercer, knowing that I wanted an Ampallang, thought that it would be a good learning experience for me, (perhaps he was just having a laugh) but that said it was my choice at the end of the day and I was really pleased that I did it that way!

But if your not in to piercing in the same way and your just going for the nipple, and want to get it over and done with as little fuss as possible, have the anaesthetic, some people say they hardly feel anything. But I’m in no position to confirm that, nor will I be, as I will decline anaesthetic for the next three nipple piercings (so brave, yet so sensitive:-0).

Next up, clamping no I’m not talking about that time I parked on a double yellow in London, this type of clamping is a lot less painful (and it don’t cost 60 quid to remove). The clamp is placed on the nipple and squeezed, it can take a few attempts to get it spot on (but as my old wood work teacher used to say “measure twice, cut once”) I’ve also heard of people passing out from the “pain” of the clamp, personally I think that’s a bit of a myth.

The clamp is no more painful, in my view, than being grabbed there in the heat of passion, so if you enjoy it during love making then it will no problem when the piercer uses the clamp (yes I know its not the same when your not turned on, what I’m trying describe is the level of sensation and that’s the nearest I can get).

The Lawnmower???
So now on to the coup de GrĂ¢ce (or lawnmower?) the needle is passed through the nipple (with the clamp still in place), which only takes a second, or two, some say it feels like ages! The jewellery is then inserted and secured, then a dressing is normally placed over the area (to be removed after a few hours) then you’re done, well as far as the piercing goes. My nipple throbbed for about three days or so and the first night of sleep was a joke, although I slept (or tried to) in a T-shirt to avoid catching the fresh piercing in my sleep, as I tend to wave my arms about a lot.

The next day I cleaned the nipple with warm salty water and a cotton bud (I must say at this point that this was the most painful part of the piercing!) you continue doing this until the nipple stops discharging, (it only hurts the first couple of times) which can be from four weeks upwards, it really is important to look after your new piercing (I don’t understand why some people do otherwise) and it doesn’t even take long to do! You can take a look at my aftercare page if you wish.

I have to say that I lost all feeling in my nipple for about ten days after the piercing, although it slowly returned, and is now even more sensitive than before, which was nice.

All in all I have to say this is one superb piercing, it really is worth having done, ignore the ill-informed rumours and go for it!
