Bloody Hell!

March 9th, 2008

When everyone kept telling me that there was loads of blood during the procedure, they weren’t kidding! This is just a little bit of the aftermath.

Today my head is a little less sore (no headaches as yet) and slightly swollen - which is to be expected. Getting used to sleeping on my back has been the hardest part of all this, but I’ve been managing to get a reasonable amount of sleep.

Heads up!

March 8th, 2008

So I went and done and did it! Yup The implants are now fully installed beneath my skin - Did it hurt? Of freakin’-course!
Here you can see the markings of where they’ll be placed and we eventually want them to sit - I’m not going to post too many gory images here, as some folks don’t appreciate the gore factor - You can find all the images on my Flickr account. . .

Anyway that was yesterday and I was informed that I would have the mother of all headaches today, but so far I’ve been fine. My head feels funny but I’m not in any kind of pain. I even managed to get a reasonable night of sleep. Can’t really see much apart from a big swollen bonce :-).

There Will Be Blood. . .

March 7th, 2008

. . .Oh yes, there will be and lots of it too! Yes, for today is implant day. Six of the buggers, three either side of my hairline - it’s been a long time coming and I don’t mind admitting I’m a little bit apprehensive.

Ever since I first saw 3D art implants I knew that I would be having them done myself. Over the last few years I’ve had six Teflon implants in my arm and one silicone circular barbell in my hand. Obviously I was leaving the best ’til last, well to tell the truth, we have been waiting almost a year for the implants themselves. This is not as bad as it seems as I have a busy life/work schedule, and when they did arrive we had to do some careful planning to fit the procedure in.

That day is today. I know that head procedures bleed like a bastard, but then its not me that has to deal with that side of things :-) - I do wonder if this is the modification that will push me over the edge (so to speak) as it’s probably the most extreme one that I’ve done.

Time will tell - I’ll keep you posted. . .

More tattoo work. . .

October 18th, 2007

This tattoo is coming along nicely now - This is the third session and we’re planning the rest of the arm now, with lots of stonework and some crazy little characters and maybe even a Sheela -Na-Gig. . .

More Ink

August 24th, 2007

We got this done yesterday - over two hours of inking! Today I am waiting for my new T.V to arrive, can’t wait to do some hi-def gaming :)

Another Sunday Working

August 12th, 2007

Yeah, all feel sorry for me! Having to work on Sunday - (I won’t mention my ‘vodka’ day on Friday, so this sorta makes up for that).

I managed to get the ‘chick with gun’ sleeve started in the week too - Blatant Lara Croft rip, but I like the way it’s going, we’ve had to leave a lot of detail out of her until we start to get the background in. Stoked!

This Week

July 13th, 2007

I’ve been mostly working - Added some tweaks to the PiShop site - and getting on with orders/product updates. Speaking of new stuff; I decided to see if I could find some silicone eyelets to fit my 38mm lobes. I had to import them from the states and I’m currently evaluating them.

They are from Kaos Softwear - so the quality is a ‘known’ - Just a matter of seeing how well my ears get on with them. We may add them to the shop if demand is high enough.

In other news; I managed to get the first part of the crossbuster done - just need to finish of next week. Plus a number of my other tattoos need touching up.
Poor Sophie having to tattoo near my ass crack :)

My Hand

March 28th, 2007

I’ve been using bio oil on my hand since having my implant, three months ago. I’ve got to say I’m pleased with the results, the initial swelling was quite horrific and took a good few weeks to go down. Seems to be settling in quite nicely now.
The procedure, although quite intense, was over quickly.

I also had my engagement tattoo touched up on Monday because it had ‘kicked out’ really badly, as finger/hand tattoo are prone to do.

This is what I did today

March 26th, 2007

Ladies and gentlemen. . . .

Here’s the neck tattoo I had done today. What an amazing experience! I’ve had all sorts of mods over the last few years, and grown pretty blasé about tattoos. This tattoo reminded me of my very first tatt, a great experience!

I look really pissed-off here; Just trying to get a good pic whilst holding the camera.

Scars

March 1st, 2007

I’ve got few scars, given that I’ve had a few body mods over the years - Some scars you want to keep; the ones that form part of the modification. But some are not that desirable, that being the case you might want to try some of this stuff:

You can get Bio-Oil from most good chemists, used twice daily on the affected area seems to reduce scarring noticeably.
